Hello! My name is Allyson Bryan and I am in my 13th year of teaching (2 years in kindergarten and 11th year in first grade). I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from USM, my Masters degree in Elementary Education from William Carey, and my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from William Carey. I am currently enrolled at William Carey for Dyslexia Therapy. I earned my National Board Teacher Certification in December of 2021. My certifications include Elementary Education K-6, Reading, Mild/Moderate Disabilities K-12, and English 7-12. I have over 300 clinical hours through William Carey University's Dyslexia Therapy program and will soon be eligible for state licensure as a Dyslexia Therapist through the MS Department of Education. I specialize in Dyslexia Therapy and Reading. I am currently a member of the International Dyslexia Association and the Mississippi Dyslexia Therapy Association.

I do not currently evaluate nor diagnosis dyslexia. I do conduct screeners and mastery checks to assess for individual needs. A diagnosis is not required to receive therapy or tutoring.
Since dyslexia is considered a learning disability and not a medical issue, most insurance companies do not provide coverage. I do not process insurance claims.
Dyslexia Therapy and tutoring follow explicit routines for teaching phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, oral language, comprehension, and composition. Mastery Checks are conducted frequently to assess proficiency levels of skills mastered.
