Hello! My name is Allyson Bryan and I am in my 14th year of teaching (2 years in kindergarten and 12 years in first grade). I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from USM, my Masters degree in Elementary Education from William Carey, and my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from William Carey. I recently graduated from William Carey with a Master’s degree in Dyslexia Therapy. I earned my National Board Teacher Certification in December of 2021. My certifications include Elementary Education K-6, Reading, Mild/Moderate Disabilities K-12, English 7-12, and Dyslexia Therapy. I have over 2,000 clinical hours in Dyslexia Therapy and hold state licensure as a Dyslexia Therapist through the MS Department of Education. I specialize in Dyslexia Therapy and Reading. I am currently a member of the International Dyslexia Association and the Mississippi Dyslexia Therapy Association.

I do not currently evaluate nor diagnosis dyslexia. I do conduct screeners and mastery checks to assess for individual needs. A diagnosis is not required to receive therapy or tutoring.
Since dyslexia is considered a learning disability and not a medical issue, most insurance companies do not provide coverage. I do not process insurance claims.
Dyslexia Therapy and tutoring follow explicit routines for teaching phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, oral language, comprehension, and composition. Mastery Checks are conducted frequently to assess proficiency levels of skills mastered.
